In the year 2017, Tolman starred in ABC's Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Group web series, It was canceled after a single season. Tolman has been a Twitter user, said that she earned "pretty remarkable" ratings for her role in the ABC Drama Emergence. It premiered in September 2019, but it was pulled after just one season that ended on May 21, 2020. The actress was a guest on NBC's Good Girls.
